The Hon. Inka Mars (Inkatha Freedom Party)
Chair and Spokesperson, Social Development Committee; Represents Natal; 25 years volunteer experience as a member of the South African Red Cross Society; Special interest in poverty issues related to child headed households impacted by AIDS.

The Hon. James Ngculu (African National Congress)
Chairman, Portfolio Committee on Health; Served on defense committees in Parliament; Former Provincial Secretary for the ANC in Western Cape; Published on security and defense matters; Spent 14 years in exile working for the ANC and Umkhonto Wesizwe.

The Hon. Pam Tshwete (African National Congress)
Member, Portfolio Committee on Health; Represents Eastern Cape; Member of ANC's Women's League National Executive; Trained as a nurse while in exile in Zambia.

Nigeria

The Hon. Dr. Aminu Safana (Peoples Democratic Party)
Chairman, House Committee on Health and Human Services; Medical doctor by training, epidemiology and public health specialist; Planned and convened the first National Conference on HIV/AIDS in 1998; Chairs the joint committee on the promulgation of the National HIV/AIDS control bill; Former HIV/AIDS coordinator in Katsina State; Former Permanent Secretary of Health; Former Secretary to Katsina State Govt.

The Hon. Saudatu Sani (Peoples Democratic Party)
Chairperson, Women and Youth Development Committee; Former Chairperson, Lere Local Government; NGO and women's activist; Worked on children's issues with UNICEF; Organized a successful HIV/AIDS outreach program in her constituency.

Sen. Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora (Alliance for Democracy)
Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges; Member, Senate Committee on Health; Medical doctor by training; Organized a successful two-day HIV/AIDS Awareness Program and Health Fair in his constituency.

Kenya

The Hon. Philip Okundi (National Rainbow Coalition)
Chairman, Orphans and Vulnerable Children Committee; Engineer by training; Previously served as the Managing Director of the Kenya Bureau of Standard, Kenya Ports Authority, and Kenya Broadcast Corporation; Former Deputy Director, Kenya Post and Telecoms Corporation.

Chairperson, Young Women Institute and Constitution Reform Education Consortium; Member, Parliamentary Legal Affairs and Administration of Justice Committee; Member, Parliamentary Network on World Bank; Former Deputy Chief Executive, Youth Agenda.

The Hon. Dr. Gurracho Galgallo (Kenya African National Union)
