Standards for Minimum Disclosure
Survey of Macedonian Public Opinion, April 11-15, 2008


The results of this poll will not be released by IRI. However, IRI is making available the methodology and the demographics to demonstrate that the poll complies with professional standards in the industry.

 
  • The poll field work was conducted by Brima based in Skopje, Macedonia. Oversight and analysis was provided by David Williams of Williams & Associates of Salem, Massachusetts.
  • The population under study is representative for the adult population of Macedonia (see demographic chart below).
  • The poll surveyed a nationwide random, multi-stage stratified representative sample. In the first stage, the sample was stratified by seven regions. In the second stage, the sample was further stratified by categories of settlement size and character within each region.

    Additionally, respondents within each settlement where identified by a random selection of street addresses and the random walk method for households.
  • Upon random household selection, respondents in each household were chosen based on the next birthday method.
  • Sample size: 1,108
    Eligibility criteria: age 18 and older
  • The margin of error is +/- 3 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
  • Face-to-face interviews were conducted.
  • The nationwide poll included all regions of Macedonia.
  • The field work was conducted April 11-15, 2008.
