IRI Hosts Seminar for Youth Leaders

June 25-27 – As part of its ongoing Leadership Institute for Central and Eastern Europe, the Europe Regional Program hosted a two-day seminar for youth leaders from center-right parties and youth organizations from the Balkan region. The conference attracted young leaders from Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, and Ukraine. The focus of the program was the "nuts and bolts" of developing strategies for personal and organizational development. Attendees participated in presentations, discussions, and exercises in developing personal and party strategies for success, goal setting, image management, networking, and political etiquette, at the Romanian mountain resort of Sinaia. Jamie Fisfis, former IRI RPO in Serbia, Romania RPO Barbara Broomell, Macedonia APO Dimitar Stojkov, and Regional Program RPO Hank Jones served as trainers.
