On February 20, the Christian Democratic Movement recognized IRI for its contributions to the development of democracy in Slovakia.  Party Chairman (and former Slovak member of the European Commission) Jan Figel (left) presented the medal, which reads In Diversity is Unity, to IRI Europe Resident Director Jan Surotchak at the party's 20th anniversary congress.
