Be A Volunteer Trainer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the International Republican Institute (IRI). IRI volunteers play a pivotal role in helping to advance democracy around the world. As an IRI volunteer you will make a tangible difference in the lives of pro-democracy activists, aspiring leaders, elected officials and civic-minded citizens. By sharing your personal expertise and experiences in such areas as: grassroots organization, campaign management, communications, economics, good governance, legislative process, legal reform, elections, and civil society, you will impact the lives of many. For 25 years, IRI volunteers have been helping people build thriving democracies.
Volunteers from across the United States and around the world support IRI's democracy programs. They serve as expert trainers and election observers helping advance democracy and freedom.
To be considered for an IRI training mission or to get more information, please send an e-mail to volunteer@iri.org. Please include your resume and the completed volunteer information sheet. IRI will contact you about upcoming missions.
See what some of IRI's volunteers have said about their recent experiences.
"The women…were concerned with creating a pleasant place to live, having a safe home and environment for their family, and providing a better future for their children through education and opportunity. While some specific details may be different between the United States and Jordan, at heart we're all after the same thing."

"Our observation mission was a success on too many levels to list. It spoke so eloquently of the great quality of the current staff, the leadership of IRI, those who inspired its creation, the goodwill and generous spirit of the American people, and of the humbling commitment to democracy of the people of Ukraine."
Gardner Peckham, Washington, D.C.
