Washington, D.C.—The International Republican Institute (IRI) issued the following statement in response to Rex Tillerson’s confirmation as the next U.S. Secretary of State.
“IRI congratulates Mr. Tillerson on his confirmation and wishes him every success in his new role,” said IRI President Ambassador Mark Green. “We look forward to working with the Administration to continue giving people the democratic tools they need to determine their own destiny, ultimately leading to less U.S. intervention.
