Washington, DC – IRI released its national survey of Iraqi public opinion, conducted November 23-December 31, 2009.

The randomly selected sample consisted of 7,600 Iraqi citizens eligible to vote, and is representative of the general population by age, gender, ethnicity, religion, and education.  The margin of error for the national sample does not exceed + 1.77 percent.

IRI has conducted surveys in Iraq since 2003.  This poll is part of IRI’s programming in Iraq designed to share information with relevant stakeholders to improve accountability and transparency in the political process.
