Washington, DC—The International Republican Institute (IRI) issued the following statement congratulating board members Senator-elect Mitt Romney and Representative Kay Granger on their victories in the midterm elections:
“IRI extends our heartfelt congratulations to Senator-elect Romney on his victory in Utah, and Congresswoman Granger on her re-election as Representative of Texas’s 12th District.
“It is a privilege to have these stalwart defenders of freedom and democracy as members of IRI’s board of directors.”
Senator-elect Romney joined IRI’s board of directors in August 2018, and Representative Granger has served on the board since 2010.
