The International Republican Institute congratulates the people of Ukraine on the 25th anniversary of their country’s independence.
“In 1991, more than 90 percent of Ukrainians voted in a nationwide referendum to forge their own path,” said Stephen Nix, IRI Regional Director, Eurasia. “While the country’s democratic development and integration into Europe has not been easy, the Ukrainian people have demonstrated their commitment to building a free and representative nation. IRI stands with Ukraine in its pursuit of freedom and human dignity.”
