IRI President Lorne W. Craner meets with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in Rangoon on December 14. During the meeting, Craner and Daw Suu discussed her assessment and expectations of current reforms in Burma, hopes for the upcoming elections and the development of her political party, the National League for Democracy.
Suu Kyi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991, was released from house arrest in November 2010 after spending nearly 15 years under arrest.
