Washington, DC – IRI released its survey of public opinion in the Iraqi Central Region, conducted September 14-20, 2011, along with its analysis.

IRI has conducted surveys in Iraq since 2003.  This poll is part of IRI’s programming in Iraq designed to share information with relevant stakeholders to improve accountability and transparency in the political process.

The randomly selected sample consisted of 1,182 Iraqi citizens eligible to vote and is a representation of the general Iraqi population by age, gender, ethnicity, province, religion and education.  The margin of error for the regional sample does not exceed ± 2.85 percent.
