- Eighty-seven percent of respondents want their provincial councils to have more authority than the federal government;
- Lack of water, electricity and security are the country’s greatest problems; and
Eighty percent of respondents believe the federal government and provincial governments do not work well together.
The randomly selected sample consisted of 3,000 Iraqi citizens eligible to vote and is a representation of the general Iraqi population by age, gender, ethnicity, religion and education. The margin of error for the national sample does not exceed plus or minus 1.79 percent.
