Judy Black has had a distinguished career in government, public affairs, and the non-profit world. Black served as Secretary of the 1984 Republican National Convention and as Treasurer of the National Federation of Republican Women.

She served in the White House during Ronald Reagan’s administration from 1987 to 1989 as Special Assistant to the President and Liaison to the nation’s statewide elected officials including Governors. For several decades Black was one of Washington’s leading government relations professionals, including directing corporate and trade association offices. She has served on the Board of Directors of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and Chaired the bipartisan organization.  She also served as Chairman of the National Osteoporosis Foundation. Black was a member of the International Foundation of Election Systems (IFES) for over 20 years and was on the executive committee for most of her service. In 2017 she received the IFES annual award, The Charles T. Manett Democracy Award.
