The House Democracy Partnership (HDP) is a bipartisan commission of the U.S. House of Representatives that works directly with 22 partner parliaments around the world to support the development of effective, independent, and responsive legislatures. HDP is proudly implemented by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI).

What is your favorite thing about your country?
Its people and their resilience and capacities to work.
Why did you decide to become a staff member in parliament?
It is a job full of challenges that allows me to serve as an articulator between public powers, citizens and Congress, and the House and the Commissions.
How are you applying your experience from the HDP mission to your role as staff?
Bringing innovation and technological proactivity as a flag for the new Congress composition.
What advice would you give to new parliamentary staff?
Making simple, clear language and transparency their go-to way to generate new and collective imaginaries in the legislative field.
What accomplishments in parliament are you most proud of?
Being a promoter of dialogue among different actors (Academics, interest groups, and NGOs) that allow us to increase citizen participation and social control in what we do.
