Rachel Chute

Director, Business Development

Rachel Chute has spent over 13 years working in business and strategy development for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. She joined IRI in August of 2020, where she is responsible for overseeing the Business Development team and will continue to secure awards from the U.S. Government and other donors.

During her 13 years of work in international development, Ms. Chute has focused on expanding markets, creating partnerships, developing strategies, leveraging resources, improving tools and processes, developing and executing trainings and winning new business. Ms. Chute is currently an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she teaches a course on proposal development within the Elliot School of International Affairs. Her previous roles include serving as Director of Business Development for Management Systems International, Creative Associates International and Equal Access International. Prior to her work in international development, Ms. Chute worked in the U.S. Senate and for a Washington, D.C.-based think tank. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and an M.P.A. with a concentration in NGO Management from Syracuse University.
