Frances F. Townsend joined the board in 2018. Townsend is Executive Vice President, Worldwide Government, Legal and Business Affairs of MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated. Prior to her current role, Townsend was a corporate partner at the law firm Baker Botts, LLP. She previously served as Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and chaired the Homeland Security Council from May 2004 until January 2008. Townsend spent thirteen years at the U.S. Department of Justice under the administrations of President George H. W. Bush, President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush. She is a member and serves on the Boards of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. She serves on three public company Boards, as well as, numerous other government advisory and nonprofit boards.
