Julia Sibley

Senior Advisor, Communications

Julia Sibley is the senior advisor for communications at IRI, where she leads on the development of high-level written products and communications strategy across the Institute. Prior to rejoining IRI in 2022, Sibley was director of communications at Hudson Institute, and served as deputy director of communications at IRI from 2016-2020. Her contributions as a writer and editor for IRI and Hudson have been published in outlets including The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and The Washington Post.

Julia previously worked in communications and project management roles at Advancing Human Rights in New York and the Qatar Foundation in Doha, Qatar, and as a researcher and writer in London, publishing in British and international outlets and testifying in front of UK and EU parliamentary bodies. She earned her BA and MA in Modern History from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and was born and raised in New Jersey.
