Pierre Le Goff joined the International Republican Institute in 2023, and currently serve as Program Manager in the Middle East and North Africa division, coordinating IRI’s programs with civil society organizations and political parties in Lebanon.
Middle East, political and military affairs specialist, Pierre joined the French government in 2012, serving as Middle East advisor for the French Prime Minister’s office where he worked extensively on global issues including terrorism, conflict prevention, stabilization, and policy planning. After six years in Paris, he joined the European Union External Action Service in 2018. As a European diplomat, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Political Section in the EU Representative Office in Jerusalem where he developed an expertise in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Prior to his work at IRI, Pierre was a Senior Analyst on Middle East and North Africa at the HEC Business School Center for Geopolitics in Paris and a Visiting Professor of Law of Armed Conflict at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
Pierre graduated from Sciences-Po Lyon in 2012, After studying International Relations and Arabic in France and Syria. French-American citizen, he is fluent in English and French and has working knowledge of Arabic. He is passionate about Geopolitics, US and European politics and Human Rights issues.
