Pushing back against kleptocratic rule requires a multi-faceted response that harnesses the dual capacity to promote good governance and international cooperation that only democracy has. 

On December 13 at 2:00 PM ET, IRI President Dr. Daniel Twining joined Shannon Green, Senior Advisor to the Administrator and Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Task Force at USAID; John Glenn, Senior Director of the International Forum for Democratic Studies at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED); and Miranda Patrucic, Deputy Editor in Chief for Regional Stories and Central Asia at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) for a discussion on democratic responses to transnational kleptocracy.
