IRI Marks International Anti-Corruption Day by Highlighting Innovative Programs

Washington, D.C.—On Friday, December 9 the International Republican Institute (IRI) marked International Anti-Corruption Day with the release of a video highlighting the impact of IRI’s “Vulnerabilities to Corruption Assessment” (VCA) tool in Mongolia.

“The link between combatting corruption and strengthening democratic institutions is well-established, and IRI is proud to further this global effort through our innovative VCA tool,” said IRI President Ambassador Mark Green. “International Anti-Corruption Day is an excellent opportunity to highlight the great work men and women are doing around the world to build more transparent, effective and representative institutions.”

The VCA tool is used to help citizens and governments understand vulnerabilities to corruption in their society.  After identifying these areas through a rigorous consultation process, IRI works with local stakeholders to strengthen transparency and accountability in their communities.
