Washington, DC – IRI today released its most recent public opinion survey in Tunisia along with an analysis, the fifth poll IRI has conducted in the country.  This is the first poll IRI has conducted in Tunisia since the national constituent assembly elections on October 23, 2011.  Fieldwork for this poll was conducted from December 24, 2011–January 6, 2012.

The survey was undertaken in cooperation with Elka Consulting, a Tunisia-based market survey research firm that was selected by IRI for its capability to conduct surveys throughout the country.  A total of 1,308 interviews were completed yielding an overall margin of error of ± 2.76 percent at the midrange of the 95 percent confidence level.  This poll was conducted with support from the Middle East Partnership Initiative.
